Rule-Based File Search

The FDM platform provides powerful and flexible file search capabilities allowing one to search files using multiple file search criteria including the file name, file contents, file location, file type, file size, creation, modification and last access dates, binary patterns, file attributes, user name, images OCR text, etc. The user is provided with the ability to define sophisticated search queries using multiple types of search rules combined with different types of logical operators allowing one to precisely identify required files. Frequently used file search operations may be saved as custom file search commands and executed in a single mouse click or automatically triggered according to the user-specified schedule.

FDM Rule-Based File Search

The FDM platform is fully integrated with a number of documents and image processing servers allowing one to extract content from all types of documents and extract text from all types of images using an OCR server and then search in the extracted text user-specified patterns or use an integrated local LLM server to analyze the extracted text using a user-selected local AI model.

For example, in order to perform an AI-powered forensic search operation and detect the actual format of some unknown or hidden files, connect the FDM platform to a local LLM server, define an AI data analysis prompt in the FDM platform AI prompts library, create a file search command with a number of file matching rules to select the required files and then add the 'AI Query Data' rule and specify the name of the AI data analysis prompt to be executed for each file.

FDM AI Prompts Library

The FDM platform will process files according to the specified file matching rules, extract the user-specified number of data bytes form the file header, send the file header data in the HEX format to a user-selected local or remote LLM server for an AI-powered forensic analysis using the user-custom prompt and then generate a report showing the file format as detected by the user-selected AI model. One of the major advantages of this architecture is the ability to select different AI models and use user-custom AI analysis prompts especially optimized for the user-specific needs and requirements.

FDM AI-Powered Forensic Search

Another option is to use the 'AI Query Text' file search rule to extract text from all document files and/or image files, send the extracted text to a local LLM server and then execute a user-specified AI analysis prompt on the extracted text. For example, in order to perform an AI-powered analysis operation on text extracted from documents and image files, connect the FDM platform to a local LLM server, define an AI text analysis prompt in the FDM platform AI prompts library, create a file search command with a number of file matching rules to select the required files and then add the 'AI Query Text' rule and specify the name of the AI text analysis prompt to be executed on the text extracted from documents and image files.

FDM AI Prompt Financial Info

The FDM platform will process files according to the specified file matching rules, extract the text from all documents and image files, send the extracted text to a user-selected local or remote LLM server for an AI-powered text analysis using the user-custom prompt and then generate a report showing the results.

FDM AI-Powered Text Analysis

In addition, the product allows one to save various types of file search reports for compliance purposes and perform file management operations on specific file search results. Finally, the user is provided with the ability to periodically execute one or more file search commands and automatically save file search reports, trigger custom actions and/or send E-Mail notifications with attached reports if one or more user-specified file search conditions are met.

Document and Image Processing

Some customers are required to identify, analyze and perform file management operations on document files based on the documents contents and/or image files based on the text in the image files. The FDM platform provides the ability to extract the text from all standard document formats using an integrated document processing server and then perform rule-based analysis, file classification, file management and secure file delete and data wiping operations based on the contents of the processed documents.
